About the Author

I'm best known for my work at W3C/MIT on HTML and other web standards:
  • edited HTML 2.0 with Tim Berners Lee
  • built the URI and HTTP specs with Roy Fielding, Larry Masinter, and Jim Gettys
  • chaired the HTML 4.0 and CSS 1 working group with Dave Raggett and Hakon Lie
  • brought XML into W3C with Jon Bosak
  • led Semantic Web standardization: RDF, OWL, SPARQL, and GRDDL

From KC to MIT and back again tells the story of how I got there, and my LinkedIn profile gives a pretty complete employment history.

  1. Glad to be hooked back up, Dan-o! Let's try to touch base more often than once every 5 years!
Better come back to Austin soon, too!
