I hit 1,000mi on my e-bike this month! One of my trips ended at 1,000.0mi even:

Electric cars are kinda cool, but I don't think they fit into a sustainable future. Bikes, buses, and trains! As much as KC is steeped in car-culture, it was a breath of fresh air to see this on Issues — Amy Scrivner for City Council:

People should have the option to live in a neighborhood where it is safe, easy, and comfortable to walk, bike, or take the bus to get your groceries, prescriptions, go to church, or eat at your favorite restaurant.

And she won! She now has a seat on the OP City Council

I didn't see cc-by among the license options though. odd.

p.p.s. obsidian works pretty well for writing photo essay blog items. It doesn't put a blank line between the yaml and the copy, though; I had to fix that with a plain text editor.
